1. Introduction and definition of the RBA Community:

The right to privacy, in particular the right to protection of personal data, is one of RBA's values and is included in our Code of Ethics.

RBA is fully committed to complying with the regulations in force and the General Data Protection Regulation of the European Union and the regulations concerning personal data protection in force at any time, which is a priority objective.

The objective of this policy is to explain to you how the RBA Community will process your personal data that may be gathered through the various forms provided for that purpose on the Web Page or through other channels. Your personal data will be processed by the RBA Community confidentially and only for the purposes that you have consented to, as explained below in this policy.

Generally speaking, personal data will be processed jointly by the companies in the RBA Community, which is made up of the following RBA companies: RBA COLECCIONABLES, S.A.U., RBA REVISTAS, S.L., RBA LIBROS, S.A. and EDICIONES EL JUEVES, S.A., which are in the publishing industry. These companies have their registered offices at Avda. Diagonal, 189, 08018, Barcelona and they jointly make up the RBA Community. The Community is coordinated from the aforementioned RBA offices, where the aforementioned companies' systems and services are centralised in order to manage them in a unified manner. Therefore, in spite of there being several controllers, the file in which your personal data will be stored will be internally processed as a single database concerning which you may exercise the rights described below.

2. Purposes of processing

We inform you that the personal data that you provide will be processed by the RBA Community, which is made up of the following RBA companies: RBA COLECCIONABLES, S.A.U., RBA REVISTAS, S.L., RBA LIBROS, S.A. and EDICIONES EL JUEVES, S.A., which are in the publishing industry and all have their registered offices at Avda. Diagonal, 189, 08018, Barcelona.

Your personal data will be processed by the RBA Community confidentially and for the following purposes:

Managing, when applicable, requests for the purchase of products and services from companies in the RBA Community.
Managing your user subscription with any of the companies in the RBA Community.
Sending you information about the products and services offered by the companies in the RBA Community, when so authorised.
Sending information from third-party companies that collaborate with companies in the RBA Community about events, prize draws and promotions exclusively for users of the RBA Community, when so authorised.
Sending the Newsletter or any newsletter from all or any of the companies in the RBA Community, when so authorised.
Processing the information in a personalised manner in accordance with the tastes and interests communicated by the user, or which we may deduce from your web browsing or your reactions to our communications, when so authorised.
Carrying out research, surveys and market research, when so authorised.
Registering on the web pages of the RBA Community

We inform you that on some occasions, it may be necessary to process your personal data in order to comply with legal obligations or in relation to any contractual relationship we may have with you.

In other cases, whenever appropriate, we will request your consent to process your personal data.

3. Sending commercial communications and segmented communications based on your profile.

If you have authorised us by granting your consent, we will send you or communicate commercial information related to the products and services of the companies in the RBA Community.

If you have subscribed to the Newsletter, we will send you it from time to time with news and information about the companies that are part of the RBA Community. In each link you may revoke your consent by clicking on the “unsubscribe” link.

The communications that the RBA Community may send or communicate to you may be segmented in accordance with your profile, taking account of the tastes and preferences that you have shown, either due to being necessary in order to perform an agreement between the data subject and the controller or due to having your explicit consent or due to there being a regulation that authorises it, and you will be appropriately informed in each case.

Accordingly, we will send or communicate to you information about products, activities and services personalised for you in accordance with your tastes and preferences.

We inform you that, at any time, you may revoke your consent to receiving commercial communications in any of the communications by clicking on the “unsubscribe” link or by communicating your desire to revoke your consent to the following addresses:

4. Automated decision-making and profiling:

For some services we may process your personal data using automated means. That means that certain decisions are taken automatically without human involvement. For example, showing the preferences you have selected on the website, the privacy warning or sending commercial communications, among others.

We may carry out other processing by conducting profiling in order to predict your behaviour on the website, showing you products on the homepage that may be of interest to you based on the preferences shown through your browsing and information obtained through cookies.

5. Storage periods

Your data will be stored for the period stipulated in the chart below, notwithstanding them being duly stored and maintained without being accessible so they may be made available to the appropriate authorities in the various cases that may be applicable.

6. Exercising rights and making complaints to the Spanish Data Protection Agency

As a consequence of processing of your personal data by RBA Community, the legislation in force grants you a series of rights.

Specifically speaking, you may exercise the following rights:

• Right of access: you are entitled to know the personal data we process about you in accordance with the purposes we have informed you of.
• Right of rectification: you are entitled to rectify any data that is inaccurate or incomplete.
• Right of erasure: you may request that your personal data be deleted from our files.
• Right of objection: you may object to the processing of your data in relation to direct marketing action. You may also do this for personal reasons, unless the basis for the processing is a legitimate interest.
• Right to limitation of processing: you may request the limitation of processing if you challenge its accuracy. In other words, processing will be limited when it is illicit and you have objected to the erasure of your personal data and instead request that usage thereof be limited. When the data are not necessary for processing, but you need them in order to file a claim, exercise rights or defend against claims.
• Right of portability of your data: you are entitled, whenever technically possible and based on the stipulated cases when the processing is based on consent or on an agreement signed with the controller, to request that your personal details be communicated to another controller.

Pursuant to that set forth in the Information Society Services and E-commerce Act [Ley de Servicios de la Sociedad de la Información y Comercio Electrónico (LSSI)] you may revoke your consent to the sending of commercial communications through electronic means at any time.

Revoking your consent to the processing of your personal data.

You may exercise the rights you hold by contacting the Data Protection Committee through any of the following means, attaching a copy of your ID or equivalent identification document:

(ii). By letter, which must be sent to the following address: Avda. Diagonal, 189, 08018, Barcelona with the reference “Data Protection”.

If you do not wish to exercise any right in particular but need to make a query or suggestion in relation to the processing of your personal data, you may also write to the addresses provided for the exercising of rights.

Moreover, the RBA Community informs you that you are entitled to make a complaint to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD), which is the authority responsible for data protection.

7. Confidentiality and Security in data processing

The information received by the RBA Community through any means will be processed with the utmost secrecy and confidentiality.

The RBA Community further represents and warrants that it has put all of the technical means within its grasp in place in order to prevent the loss, misuse, alteration, unauthorised access and theft of the data provided by users; however we do inform you that internet security measures are not impregnable.

8. Social networks

You may join the Groups that RBA and the RBA Community have on various social networks. A user who becomes a fan or follower of any of these groups accepts the terms and conditions of use and privacy policy of the relevant social network.

9. International Transfers

On some occasions, your personal data may be processed outside of the European Economic Area (EEA). In such situations, the RBA Community warrants that all of the measures and controls to guarantee and protect the processing of your personal data will be applied.

The main measures adopted by the RBA Community when it carries out an international transfer of personal data are the signing of standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission, binding corporate rules and certifications or codes of conduct approved by the European Commission.
