RBA, Freixenet and the Universitat de Barcelona have arranged this event since 2001, in order to reward works in which the art of gastronomy plays a key role.
The works compete for a total prize of €24,000 and the prestige of being distinguished as the best literary recipe in prose.
Jury decision announcement: on the first Thursday of October.
The competition is open to works written in: Catalan or Spanish.
Prize money: 24,000 € distributed as follows: €6,000 in cash, €12,000 as royalties and €6,000 for a dinner for two at any restaurant in the world.

2002 - Juan Luis Arsuaga, Los aborígenes.
2001 - Marina Pino, Un feroz apetito.
